CIRCLE

“This exhibition involved all the members of the Pollen Collective and was on show in a lovely historic Bloomsbury townhouse across from the British Museum. Collaboration is always at the forefront of the collective’s exhibitions and this show began with a poem sent to two artists who created something and forwarded their work to the next two, with each subsequent artist producing work inspired by the previous piece. The works include painting, photography, sculpture and poetry and it’s fascinating to see how the pieces have influenced each other. It will be interesting to see what this clever new collective does next". (review by @gshawcoms and @joshurvell , Forbes Magazine).

Shifting Realities, Monotype on Kozo paper, 32 x 70 cm

My artwork is a response to Rachna Garodia's work. (see below in the timeline link). After receiving an image of her intricate weavings, I spent the next day in a hoar, in sea mist, observing the shifting perspectives of colours and shapes as they come in and out of view. It was that feeling of not really knowing the distance to the rocks and hills engulfed in fog, but at the same time you know they're there. Your perceptions keep changing. A bit like feeling one's way through current times.
